Tube in a Tube Drill Pipe
Proprietary pipe technology currently available in 2-3/8” OD through 36” OD sizes. This product is an excellent choice for corrosion and erosion resistance pipe in oils sands tailings and hot water applications. This product is proven in service to substantially extend the life cycle of oil sands tailings pipe compared to historically utilized carbon pipe. Dual Phase ERW is presently being used for tailings pipe in oil sands mining in Alberta, Canada.
Additional considerations are applications to transport corrosive CO2 bearing natural gas or erosive slurry transportation and for downhole tubing applications in oil and gas wells that produce corrosive CO2.
Drill Rods for Industrial Drilling
Proprietary drill rod technology that utilizes GTC patented thread form connections to enhance steer ability and allow the driller to make tighter bend radius turns than possible with other connection. GTC connections that are 100% or more of the pipe body yield in compression, tension, burst, collapse, bending and torque.
Proprietary Thread Form (Multifaceted)
GTC has a patented thread form for use on casing, tubing, and drill pipe in the Oil and Gas Industry. The form is also utilized on drill pipe for horizontal directional drilling in the Industrial Drilling Industry. To compliment the form, GTC has multiple patented features to enhance ease of stabbing, eliminate cross threading and enhance fatigue resistance in threaded connections.
GrantPrideco -- the world’s leading drill pipe manufacturer and a major specialty casing and tubing thread manufacturer for the Oil and Gas Industry has entered into a licensee agreement for the thread form and additional features for their exclusive use in the Oil and Gas Industry.
GTC is developing new connections for large OD tunnel support pipe.
Tube in a Tube Drill Pipe (TNT)
Proprietary drill pipe developed for Reverse Circulation Center Discharge (RCCD) drilling technology. RCCD is utilized to drill in tight downhole oil and gas formations, coal bed methane (CBM) and methane hydrate without injecting harmful mud, chemicals and drilling chips into the formation to be produced.
GTC has developed a patent applied for drill pipe that provides the ability to drill further both vertically and horizontally with a tight turn while returning the drilling chips back to the surface for disposal.
